At Cleytro, we strive to provide a secure, seamless, and flexible shopping experience. This Payment Policy outlines our accepted payment methods, localized tax terms for the European Union, financing options, and secure billing regulations.
1. Accepted Payment Methods & Financing
To ensure convenience for our global and European customers, we accept the following secure payment options at checkout:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and JCB.
- Digital Wallets: PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later): We fully support Klarna financing. Depending on your country, you can choose to "Pay in installments", "Pay in 30 days", or opt for long-term financing. Please note that Klarna terms, conditions, and credit approvals are managed directly by Klarna.
2. EU Tax and Duties (Tax-Free Shipping)
- EU Orders (Tax-Free): For all customers located within the European Union (EU), your orders are dispatched directly from our warehouses located inside the EU. All prices shown at checkout are fully inclusive of duties and taxes, and you will not be charged any additional customs fees or Value Added Tax (VAT) upon delivery.
- Non-EU Orders: For shipments to countries outside the European Union, the customer remains the importer of record and is responsible for any local import duties, customs clearance fees, or regional taxes levied by the destination country.
- Base Currency: Our primary transactional currency is EUR (€) . If your local bank operates in a different currency, minor exchange rate conversion fees may apply.
3. Payment Security & PCI Compliance
Your financial security is our top priority:
- Encryption: Our website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology with 256-bit encryption to protect your personal and payment details during transmission.
- Data Privacy: Cleytro complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). We do not store, view, or retain your full credit card numbers or CVV codes on our servers. All transaction data is processed securely through audited, third-party payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Klarna, Stripe).
4. Order Verification & Anti-Fraud Review
Due to the high monetary value of electric bicycles and electric scooters, Cleytro enforces strict anti-fraud measures to protect our customers:
- Security Flags: If our automated fraud-detection system flags a transaction as high-risk, we reserve the right to pause the shipment.
- Verification Process: Our compliance team may contact you via email to request additional identity verification (such as confirming your billing details) before authorizing the shipment.
- Automatic Cancellation: If the required verification is not provided within 3 business days, the order will be automatically cancelled, and a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
5. Billing Timing & Order Confirmation
- Immediate Charging: Your payment method will be charged in full immediately upon placing your order, including pre-orders for upcoming vehicle models. For Klarna users, your payment schedule starts according to the terms selected at checkout.
- Order Confirmation: Once payment is successfully authorized, you will receive an automated Order Confirmation Email containing your receipt and digital invoice.
6. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
We highly value open communication. If you notice any unauthorized charges or billing errors related to your Cleytro purchase, please contact our customer support team immediately.
We kindly ask that you reach out to us directly to resolve any billing issues before filing a formal dispute or chargeback with your bank, PayPal, or Klarna. Initiating an unnotified chargeback may result in the immediate suspension of your vehicle's warranty and technical support services.
